Eligibility Requirements

Most students qualify for some form of financial assistance. Here are the general requirements to get started:

  • U.S. Citizenship or Eligible Non-CitizenMust be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen with a valid Social Security number.
  • High School Diploma or GEDProof of high school graduation or equivalent is required for enrollment and financial aid eligibility.
  • Satisfactory Academic ProgressStudents must maintain satisfactory academic progress to remain eligible for financial aid.
  • Completed FAFSASubmit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov to determine your eligibility.

How to Apply for FAFSA

Applying for federal financial aid is free and takes about 30 minutes. Follow these five steps to get started:

  1. 1Create a StudentAid.gov account using your FSA ID.
  2. 2Complete and submit the FAFSA at studentaid.gov.
  3. 3Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) for accuracy.
  4. 4Meet with our financial aid advisor to review your award package.
  5. 5Accept your aid package and complete enrollment in your program.
